Abstract

The portfolio in the teaching and learning process is an instrument that encourages reflection on practice. It is important that evidence is posted and reflected upon, as it consists of the relationship between practice and changes that occurred during lived experiences. The teaching-learning process is fundamental for human and social development, as it shapes identity, skills and understanding of the world. Teaching is the act of transmitting/passing on knowledge and necessary skills, with the aim of the student learning. The main agents in the teaching and learning process are the teacher and the student. The teacher plays the role of mediator and knowledge manager. Knowing the student should be part of their educational practice at school, respecting the differences and limits of each one. In turn, the student in the teaching and learning process plays the role of protagonist, being responsible for the construction of their own knowledge. This portfolio presents a reflection that aims to critically analyze the influence of the physical structure of the Mártires de Mbuzine Secondary School on the teaching and learning process. The school is located in the Magoanine C neighborhood, block 117, on Graça Machel Avenue in the Kamubukwana Municipal District. The teaching and learning process is an intentional activity and, as such, requires planning, starting at the central level, of the school and the classroom. For the Portuguese language mediation process, it was necessary to use some activities such as: reading texts, written production, orality and linguistic analysis. During the internship, it was possible to understand that the teacher has the role of mediator in the teaching-learning process, therefore this reflection aims to show the function of the internship location in the construction of knowledge and the teaching entity. We were involved in several challenges and constant learning during the internship at Mártires de Mbuzine Secondary School, including: difficulty fitting into the class, frontal (undisciplined) students and difficulty teaching some topics(TRADUÇÃO NOSSA)
