| Resumo: | O presente trabalho com o título, “Romo Re Nguruwe. Pesquisa e interpretação arqueológica da arte rupestre San em Manica, 1936-2006N, tinha como objectivo, interpretar e documentar as pinturas rupestres San encontradas na estação arqueológica de Romo Re Nguruwe na Cidade de Manica Neste sentido ao longo do trabalho foi constatou-se que a estação arqueológica de Romo Re Nguruwe é a única no Distrito de Manica com traços de graffiti e em perigo de destruição. Verificou-se que a degradação das pinturas rupestres na estação está associada a factores naturais e a actividade humana Com vista a preservar as imagens das pinturas rupestres para o futuro, documentou-se detalhadamente as mesmas e a própria estação arqueológica O estudo permitiu concluir que, as pinturas rupestres e a paisagem circundante da estação arqueológica de Romo Re Nguruwe, tinham relevância para as expressões simbólicas e valores religiosos dos San que habitaram Manica. |
| Abstract: | The present work with the title, "Romo Re Nguruwe. Research and archaeological interpretation of the San rock art in Manica, 1936-2006N, had as objective, to interpret and to document the San rock paintings found in the archaeological station of Romo Re Nguruwe in the City of Manica In this sense throughout the work it was found that the archaeological station of Romo Re Nguruwe is the only one in the District of Manica with traces of graffiti and in danger of destruction. It was verified that the degradation of the rock paintings in the station is associated to natural factors and human activity In order to preserve the images of the paintings for the future, the paintings and the archaeological station itself were documented in detail The study concluded that the rock paintings and the surrounding landscape of the Romo Re Nguruwe archaeological site had relevance to the symbolic expressions and religious values of the San who inhabited Manica.
