| Resumo: | A educação cognitiva de um indivíduo é um processo pelo qual se deve muita e especial atenção, para que os objectivos da educação possam ser atingidos, é necessário que os meios utilizados sejam eficientes e eficazes, alocam-se diversos recursos educativos para auxiliar no desenvolvimento cognitivo do indivíduo e uma delas é a Biblioteca, considerada como um recurso indispensável no processo de ensino e aprendizagem. A presente pesquisa teve como tema: o papel da Biblioteca Escolar (BE) no incentivo à leitura e na construção da cidadania. Define-se como objectivo geral da pesquisa: analisar os mecanismos usados pela Biblioteca da Escola Secundária de Malhazine (ESM) no incentivo a leitura e na construção da cidadania, e como objectivos específicos: explicar o papel da Biblioteca da Escola Secundária de Malhazine no incentivo à leitura e na construção da cidadania; descrever as actividades exercidas no processo de incentivo á leitura na Biblioteca da Escola Secundária de Malhazine; compreender o papel da Biblioteca Escolar na contrução da cidadania e descrever a leitura como mecanismo para construção da Cidadania. Para responder aos objectivos da pesquisa usou-se o método quantitativo e qualitativo, a fim de interpretar e demonstrar fenómenos observados no local de estudo. Para a recolha de dados utilizou-se o questionário, que era intecionalmente destinado aos alunos da 12ª classe, contendo questões estruturadas e a entrevista destinada para a auxiliar da Biblioteca e ao Director Pedagógico da Escola Secundaria de Malhazine. Teve como amostra da pesquisa 52 elementos, dos quais se destacam: 50 alunos, 1 auxiliar da Biblioteca e o Director Pedagógico da Escola Secundaria de Malhazine. A partir dos instrumentos de recolha de dados acima supracitados, foi possível compreender que a leitura é muito importante para construção da cidadania e a Biblioteca Escolar é um recurso fundamental e indispensável no processo de incentivo à leitura |
| Abstract: | The cognitive education ofan individual is a process for which much and special attention is due, so that the objectives of education can be achieved, it is necessary that the means used are efficient and effective, several education resources are allocated to assist in the cognitive development of the individual and one of them id the library, considered as an indispensable resource in the teaching and learning process. The present research had as its theme: the role of the school Library in encouraging reading and in the construction of citizenship. The general objective of the research is: to analyze the mechanism used by the Malhazine secondary school library in encouraging reading and in the construction of citizenship and as specific objectives: to explain the role of the Malhazine secondary school library in encouraging reading and building citizenship; describe the activities carried out for the process of encouraging reading by the library of the secondary school Malhazine; to understand the role of the school library in the construction of citizenship and to describe reading as a mechanism for the construction of citizenship. To respond to the objectives of the research, the quantitative and qualitative method was used, in order to interpret and demonstrate phenomena observed in the study site. For data collection, the questionnaire was used, which was intentionally intended for 12th grade students, containing structured questions and the interview for the library assistant and the pedagogical director of the Malhazine secondary school. The research sample was 52 elements, of which the following stand out: 50 students, 1 library assistant and the pedagogical Director of the Malhazine Secondary School. From the data collection instruments mentioned above, it was possible to understand that reading is very important for the construction of citizenship and the school library is a fundamental and indispensable resource in the process of encouraging reading |
